Dr. Jeffrey Burns, DDS 

  

Jeffrey Burns graduated from West Virginia School of Dentistry in 1995. He maintains a private practice focused on Aesthetic, Implant & Reconstructive Dentistry in New Market, VA.  Dr. Burns graduated from the Midwest Implant Institute under the direction of Dr. Alfred Heller. He attended the Pacific Aesthetic Continuum where he studied with Dr. David Hornbrook.  He has also studied with Dr. Larry Rosental of Aesthetic Advantage, Dr. Ross Nash, Dr. Tom Trinker and Matt Roberts.

Dr. Burns has a passion for cosmetic dentistry and guest services and it is evident through his enthusiasm and genuine desire to improve his guests’ lives. He also strives to improve himself by continually staying abreast of the latest techniques and improvements.  He completes over 100 hours of continuing education annually.

Dr. Burns has received many awards for his smile/reconstruction dentistry. In 2006 he received two gold medals, a silver medal and the prestigious Peoples Choice Award from the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry conference held in San Diego.  These awards were based on four seperate case entries that were submitted among several hundred other doctors case entries.

Dr. Burns truly believes that creating beautiful smiles through exceptional dentistry will increase the value of someone’s life.

Dr. Burns spends much of his time with his wife and three children.  His family is actively involved in little league sports and traveling softball. The dedication that he has for his family and practice are reasons why his patients continue to return time after time.

 Laurie, RDH, Hygiene Coordinator

 

Laurie graduated from West Virginia University in 1995, where she attained her Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene.  Her many years of practice have been rewarding and fulfilling.  She joined in Dr. Burns practice in 1995, the year that it opened. The care of her guests is of the utmost importance to her and is enhanced by the compassion and gentleness that she expresses. 

Outside of the office, she thoroughly enjoys her active lifestyle with her husband, Mike, and their four children.

 Dana, RDH, Website and Marketing Management

Dana graduated Cum Laude in 2006 from Virginia Western with her Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene.  She thoroughly enjoys interacting professionally as well as personally with her guests.  She has a passion for making her teeth feel “squeeky” clean.  She strives to keep a smile on your face and you won’t catch her without a smile on hers. 

When Dana is not at the office she enjoys playing softball, photography and she loves to dote on her two furry babies, Rocko and Gnarly. 

 Janie, Treatment Coordinator/Surgical Assistant

Janie has been a part of Dr. Burns practice since its opening in 1995. She assists Dr. Burns during surgical procedures as well as discuss treatment options with the new and established guests.  Janie follows up with each patient that she discusses treatment options with as well as schedule there appointments and follow up procedures. 

She graduated, with honors, from the Midwest Implant Institute.  She also graduated from Pac Live in San Francisco, Tom Trinker and Matt Roberts’, The Beauty of a Smile, as well as, Ross Nashs’, Posterior Cosmetic Dentistry.

Ginger, Dental Assistant, Clinical Coordinator

 

Ginger has been a dental assistant since 1995. She is one of Dr. Burns chairside assistants.  She has a true passion for guest care and a great expertise in sterilization to ensure her guests utmost safety.  She shares her knowledge and kindness with each person passing through the office, ensuring that they leave the office more knowledgable than when they sat down.  Ginger has a genuine love of dentistry and gives all that she has to each and every guest.

At home, Ginger enjoys spending time with her husband, Greg, and son, Timmy.  She enjoys country musical and real estate renovations.

 Sara, Dental Assistant and Lab Coordinator

 

In 2001, Sara completed the dental assisting program at Massanutten Technical Center and has loved being an assistant ever since.  Sara enjoys getting to know her patients and helping them to feel at ease in the dental chair.

Sara is very excited about joining a team that is continually learning and striving for excellence. 

Outside the office Sara loves spending time with her husband, Jason and son, Gage.  She also enjoys reading and scrapbooking as well as just enjoying life with her family and friends.

 Andrea, Schedule Coordinator

 

Andrea is our scheduling coordinator.  She is so excited about being a part of such an amazing group of individuals and she strives to excel in everything that she does.  She is anxious to be a part of smile designs and she feels that your smile is one of your best assets. 

At home, Andrea enjoys spending time with her three boys, Brandon, Shawn and Jacob.  

 Teri, Financial & Insurance Coordinator

 Teri is our financial and insurance coordinator.  She has a genuine love for helping her guests.  Teri is a caregiver at heart and is thrilled to be working with such a compassionate group of people.

At home, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, Megan.  She also enjoys spending time with her other family members, working at church, reading and she loves her cat, Jazzy.

 Teresa, Spa Director & Licensed Master Aesthetician

Teresa is a Master Aesthetician and licensed cosmetologist. She has a genuine desire to go above and beyond what the guest deserves. She has caring hands and heart to feed their spirit.  She believes that having the opportunity to improve a guests life, in team work atmosphere is truly a priviledge.  She has a zest for life that is priceless.

At home, she enjoys her spare time with her husband, Dave and their son, Zack.  She loves traveling with her family and advocating and lecturing on Autism.  She also loves creative writing and painting.
